Chevrolet Repair: noisy belt/ tik tik sound after starting in the morning, riyadh saudi arabia, chevy car

Question
Dear Mr. Mark,

I'm so grateful regarding your answers to my previous questions.By the way, i am living in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and freezing point is no quetion. Do i have to stick to my present coolant concentration of 1:2 or to what is written in th emanual of 1:1?

My next question is about my malibu 2002 chevy car's belt giving some noise after replacing with different code number. The previous number is 2200 which i presumed the proper size and i replaced it with number 2190. when i start in the morning, there is some sort of a pinging sound which gradually reduces as the car gets warm or when i start moving and increasing speed. However, the noise increases during cold weather.Idle pulley and tensioner changed but noise is still there. Will i have to replace my belt or leave as is. I am worried it my give my car some problems later.

Once in a while after startting the car early morning, i can hear some tiktik sound from under the car for 2 seconds. I dont know whether its coming from the gas pump, muffler or what. I need your help to identify this sound and wher it is coming from and what to do with it.

Thanks,
Gary

Answer
Hi Gary, I guess you keep the coolant mixture at 1:2. The belt is too short by the number by 10mm. I don't know if this will make a difference, but it might! If the noise you hear goes away that fast no need to worry about a thing. Just things warming up to temp.
