Chevrolet Repair: S10 Blazer charging problem, s10 blazer, fuse box

Question
Thank you for answering. Sorry I forget to tell you that Blazer is year 1998 and engine is 4.3 Vortec. Where does alternator get power? Does it comes direct from battery or via fuse box? Do you know if in the internet could be found electrical drawings for S10 Blazer?
Best regards
Mikko

Hi. I asked you a question earlier, but I still have a problem. Our Blazer do not charge until engine rpm has gone over 3000/min. We changed new alternator and same problem. One 15A fuse has also burned. It is the most left in front of fuse box. There are letters hdlpw/w. Otherwise car works normally. Thank you.
Answer -
Hi Mikko,hdlpw/w should be headlamp / windshield wiper.

I don't know what Blazer you have, but sounds like the exciter for the alternator is not getting power, and there could be some association with that fuse circuit, but I am not sure what.

Answer
Hello Mikko,
The power to tell the alternator to charge comes from the ignition switch, through the gauges fuse, ant thru the light in the instrument cluster, the charge light.
That light should come on when the engine is not running, but the key is in run position.
if the light does not come on then, check to see if the bulb is blown.
That is what your problem sounds like.

If you have a test light, that power goes to the brown wire at the alternator.
