Chevrolet Repair: Coolant Leak, air conditioner condensation, coolant leak

Question
I have a small stream (sometimes a dribble) of coolant that is leaking from somewhere above the starter on my 97 suburban.  The leak only happens when the engine is warm.  I replaced the diverter valve for the heater units and discovered the leak when working the air out of the system.  Where is the coolant coming from and how do I repair the leak?

Answer
Hello Gary,
I would suspect it is probably from the connector in the intake manifold where the heater hose connects.

Other possibilities are a head gasket, or a freeze plug in the block.

Make sure you are talking about a dribble of coolant, or a dribble of water, which could be from the air conditioner condensation drain.
