Chevrolet Repair: 1987 Chevy S-10 Blazer 4x4, silent nothing, fusible links

Question
I have a 1987 Chevy S-10 blazer and just recently I beleived I blow out my starter. But I'm not sure. I bought a new module for the ignition and I bought a new solenoid. Now when I turn the key all my gages work but my motor doesn't turn at all.it is completely silent. Nothing seems to be making any kind of noise.
Help what do I do.?

Answer
Hello Freddie,
Sounds like you may have missed connecting one of the wires, or you blew a fuse.
I doubt you blew out the starter.
There are some fuses that are fusible links, and just look like wire, but with a big bulgy connector. Usually connected at the starter to carry power to the switch, and some other things that need power all the time.

And try wiggling the shift lever as you try starting the truck, or if it is a standard transmission, make sure the clutch is all the way down.
