Chevrolet Repair: low oil level light, 1995 chevy lumina, chevy lumina

Question
I have a 1995 chevy lumina v-6 3.1 and the low level oil light comes on when I start the car but if I stop the engine and restart the engine the light goes out and stays out until I stop the engine and try to start it again and the same thing happens again. The oil level is fine in the engine.Would you tell me what you think is wrong and details on how to fix it?
 Thanks very much

Answer
Hello Clayton,
Sorry, I have no experience with that problem, but I would think it is probably the sensor, which should be in the oil pan.
I would try disconnecting it first, and see if the light stays off or on each start.
If it stays either way consistently, I think I would probably just replace the sender.
Might try just wiggling the connection first.
