Chevrolet Repair: 1996 Chevy Lumina wont start, 1996 chevy lumina, chevy lumina

Question
We have a 1996 Chevy Lumina V6 3.1L that won't start.  We had a repair shop diagnois it for us and they said that it was 2 ignition coils, the ignition module and the spark wires.  So we bought the parts and replaced them and the car still won't start.  We checked the voltage and the car gets power to the ignition module, but once you put the coil on there is not more power.  Do you have any ideas?

Answer
Hello Michelle,
Check to see if there is spark.

If you are checking for voltage at the correct terminal, and it doesn't have voltage, there could be a loose wire connection, bad ignition switch, bad fuse or fusible link.

but check for spark first, and if there is spark, listen to see if the fuel pump is running when you turn the key on. it will only run for two seconds, but make sure it does.
