QuestionWhy does my anti-freeze leak out sometimes i live in hot temperatures in texas it wasnt doing this until a few weeks ago when it started to get 90 degrees in temperature, its coming from overflow tank? Also, what would be reason for engine light to come on when I hit 50 mph when i put on brakes, sometimes not?
AnswerHave you had ANY work done to the vehicle in the last year and if so, What was done.
Are you having to add anti-freeze to the cooling system at anytime ?.
Are you having to add any engine oil to the vehicle.?.
Is the vehicle running OK ?. No missing or hesitations ?.
Check the oil filler cap where you put oil in the engine and see if there is a white milkish residue on the bottom side of the filler cap.
Wghat I am thinking is that you may well have a small HEAD GASKET leak of which would explain BOTH your problems.
