Chevrolet Repair: 89 S10 blazer, air control valve, vacuum problem

Question
Hi, I have a 89 S10 and sometimes when I start it it idles rough but if I touch the brake pedal it smoothes out to where up to a point I can move the idle a small amount with the brake, I ma thinking a vacuum problem, Am I close in my guess.

Answer
Hi George,
I think you are close...I think you need to clean your idle air control valve in the throttle body.
Don't even need to remove it. Just take the air filter housing off, and it screws into the throttle body, probably the front.
You can see down into its port. Spray some Berrymans B12, or other carb/PCV valve cleaner in there, and all around in the throttle body.
