Chevrolet Repair: S-10 cuts off, loose ground, flow gas

I have a 1991 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer 4wd.  I have a new engine with approx 22,000 miles on it. About once a week, when I'm driving, the Blazer will cut off, always after a turn or stop.   It's like the flow gas cuts off.  Given 2 minutes to 2 hours, the car will start up just fine.  I have had it to three mechanics they have done the following:

1) Checked and replaced sensors. (still had problem)
2) Checked that gas was not bad and cleaned fuel
system (still had problem)
3) Checked with mechanic who installed new engine to make sure it hooked up properly to the fuel line (still had problem)

One mechanic said that a vacuum was being created but he couldn't determine where or how.

Since this  has been going on since last summer (luckily, I don't use this car too often), I have determined the scenarios where this always happens.

1) Always after short stop and go trips.  For example, if I want to run 1 errand, I'm fine.  But if I do 2 or 3 errands, I can almost predict it will cut off.  I just figured this out so now I just use this car for Point A to Point B driving.

2) Always after a turn

3) Very frequently if I've been on a bumpy road or a gravelly parking lot.  I live in the country so this happens a lot.

2 of the mechanics think I'm crazy and the 3rd had the car for a month and it did it to him 3 times and he verified the conditions described above.

Any help or direction you can provide would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Answer -
This is VERY common when an engine is replaced. What is most likely happening is that there is corrosion built up within the electrical connections from the time they were taken apart to when they were reconnected of which was probably several weeks later. OR there is a loose ground wire somewhere on the engine that is loose.

What SENSORS were replaced ?.

The fuel sensors were replaced.

Answer
Are you losing fuel or ignition to the spark plugs ?.

Physically check all your electrical connections on the various engine components.

Fuel pump test:

1. Get yourself a helper.

2. remove the gas cap.

3. have one person listen in the gas tank at the gas cap opening.

4. have the other person turn the ignition switch to the ON position ONLY so as the dash lights come on. Do NOT attempt to start the engine.

5. As soon as the ignition key is turned to the ON position, The person at the gas tank should hear the fuel pump run for TWO SECONDS and then it should STOP.

6. Does it ?.

If you do NOT hear it run, in most cases the fault is the fuel pump.
