Chevrolet Repair: 90 Beretta GTZ, berettas, vapor lock

Question
My son is driving a '90 Beretta with new starter.  When he shuts off the car, it won't start till it cools down.  It seems to turn over fine, but doesn't fire. Is this a problem with the starter?  fuel filter?

Answer
Hi Mary,
Probably no problem with the starter if it cranks over about normally.
Possibly a fuel or spark problem.
If it isn't dying, I would suspect fuel, like a vapor lock. Especially if it runs hot.

I don't work on Berettas, so can't be specific help. They are cute, though, and I wish I had one.
