Chevrolet Repair: smoke coming from exhaust, refrigerator freezer, engine coolant

Question
I just purchased a 1992 chevy s-10 tahoe truck. It has a 4.3 liter v-6 with 105,000 miles. Seems to have been taking care of. Everything works good and runs like a top.
Now to my question. I just recently noticed every time, day or night, rain or shine, when I crank the truck, there is a small amount of white smoke that "puffs" out of the exhaust. Just one "puff" and then no more.
Is this an early warning of something going wrong? thanks for your help,...Chris

Answer
I would NOT be concerned about one single PUFF of smoke at this time. it could ONLY be the same type of puff of smoke that occurs when you open your refrigerator freezer in a hot kitchen.

Your pumping HOT exhaust thru a COLD exhaust system.

Just keep an eye on it and watch for any cooalnt usage.

If the smoke becomes graeter and or your having to add engine coolant then let us know.
