i own a 1991 s-10 blazer with a 4.3 litre tbi i havent had any problems with it up to date and i went out to start it and it started fine and then i turned on my lights and they started flashing irratically and i could hear a relay under the dash clicking at mach 1 and then it died. the battery still has full power, i checked all my relays, all the lights work, it wont turn over, and when i put my key in the ignition it wont buzz like normal and none of the dash engine lights will come on or anything there is absolutly no power in the ignition but their is power to everything else... please help

Answer
Hello Curtis,
Sounds like something shorted out, and blew a fusible link. The one that supplies power to the ignition switch.
If the short isn't found and corrected, it will do it again as soon as you repair the link, but that is what it is supposed to do, rather than melt the wires, so look for possibly a wire dropped against the exhaust manifold and melted through, or a wire pinched in a door hinge area, or under the seat. It will probably be an accessory that operates when the key is on. Any aftermarket stereo systems or accessories?
That "relay" you heard could have been a circuit breaker tripping and resetting.
Electric windows or seat are on breakers I believe, and the windows need the key on to work.
