Chevrolet Repair: 1997 S-10 window regulator handle removal, haynes manual, spring clip

Question
One of the screws holding the outside door handle in place has vibrated free and is bouncing around inside my door.  To get at it I need to remove the trim panel, and to do that I need to remove the window regulator handle.  According to the Haynes manual there is a spring clip on the inside of the handle I should be able to hook and pull with a wire, but I don't know what it looks like or where exactly it is, and they have no illustrations of it in their manual.  If you could send me a diagram or tell me an effective technique for hooking the thing I'd really appreciate it.
