Chevrolet Repair: 89 silverado 4x4, silverado 4x4, itam

I need a thermo actuator its to electronicly lock in my hubs part stores dont have aclue and tell its a dealer itam only is this true i serch at chevy site and it dont know what im talking about either whare do i go to get part and how much is it.

I know exactly what your talking about as I have replaced many of them. They are a dealer item ONLY or you may be able to get one at a specialty 4x4 repair facility.

Try going into your local chvy dealer and talk with the service manager and look in the 87,88,89 ser vice manuals for a picture of it. Or the parts department may have an older parts book with a picture of it.
