Chevrolet Repair: 94 Chevy S10 Blazer 4x4 Vortec V6 4.3, chevy s10 blazer, s10 blazer 4x4

Question
My Blazer is acting a little funny, when it is idling you start smell gas fumes. And it is only when it is idling. It seems to burn it off when you drive it. As soon as you shut it off and let it sit for a few minutes it acts like it is flood I guess and won't start it takes a few times to get it to finally start up. It is an automatic and fuel injected vehicle. I just recently got the cat and muffler changed on it cause the person I bought it from hadn't changed it since they bought it and the cat was all colloged up. So my husband suspects the O2 sensor not reading right but I'm not sure that is the problem. So if you could help at all it surely would be appreciated. Thank you so much in advance.

Answer
Hello Kat, This problem is most likely the injector leaking gas into the center of the intake manifold. I'm 99% sure that it is the injector. I have done a lot of these in the past. Have the injector replaced and you'll be running great again.
