Chevrolet Repair: 1994 Chevy S10 Blazer 4x4 smells like gas when idling, chevy s10 blazer, s10 blazer 4x4

Question
Okay I have a 1994 S10 Blazer 4x4 with 154000 miles. It runs find but at times it is hard to start cold and even after it has sit for a while after driving. Also while the engine is idling you can smell gas. I know some how it is getting too much if I can smell it but not sure what the problems is.  I had alot of people tell the fuel injectors. I've replaced the fuel filter and inspected the gas tank for punctures and all is good. Any advice will be helpfull so I can check it out. Thanks a bunch.

Answer
IF the injectors were leaking, I assume that you have only 2 injectors ?.,

Simply turn ON the ignition switch to the ON position ONLY, Do NOT start the engine. Look at the injectors and see if you can see if any are dripping gas into the intake manifold. If NOT, NOT likely to be injector(s) problem.

Has the CHECK ENGINE light on the dash ever illuminated and if so, What code(s) were present ?.

Pull off ONE AT A TIME the hoses that go to your CHARCOAL CANISTER and inspect the inside of the haoses for gas of which may simply drip out when you disconnect them.

Check all your hoses going to the emissions system, ESPECIALLY along the BOTTOM of the hoses of which cannot be seen by viewing from the top as they tend to get real soft and leak and or suck air due to heat and age .

Check your fuel line and your return lines going back to the fuel tank from the charcoal canister.
