Answer
You have NO IDEA as to the PROBLEMS you are going to incur.

I have an 89 blazer with the 4.3L and there is no way I would even consider this idea.

1. the front suspension si NOT built to support the weight of a larger engine. Shocks, struts, springs, axles, etc, etc.

2. you will have to replace ALL of the entire vehicles electrical systems harnesses on the engine, dash, computer and computer harnesses, and all of the transmission, front axle, rear axle, fuel pump harness back to the fuel tank, install all the emissions lines and components for the larger engine, Replace the entire exhaust system. electrical harnesses in the entire vehicle as well as the vehicles computer system and all of it's related components.

3. If your state has emissions inspections, the facility will set the machine based on the vehicles VIN # of which will be for the original engine and with this engine it will NOT pass emissions testing.

Prior to computerized systems all you had to do was install a fuel line, and ignition source to the coil, make some minor bracket modifications and you you were all set.

NOT ANYMORE.

Even with my many years of expertise, I would NOT even consider taking on such an expensive time consuming project such as this and I have been asked many times to do it and the answer was and will always be NO WAY.

Personally and professionally, Your going to get in WAY over your head on this job.
