Chevrolet Repair: 93 Chevy Lumina Idle, chevy lumina, natural occurance

Question
I recently started having engine problems while idling in gear and at various speeds it was shuddering and running very rough. I first discovered arching in the wire set.

I have replaced the plugs/wires/fuel filter. It runs better, but still idles rough in gear and has rough take offs, feels like it is choking and wants to "clear it's throat". It idles smoothly in neutral or park.

Answer
What mechanical work or ANY kind of work has been performed on the vehicle recently ?. As most problems that occur after a recent repair was made can be traced back to the area of where the repair was made.

In most cases this can be caused by numerous sensor intermittent problems, a natural occurance of residue within the idle and throttle chambers of the intake system that can be cleaned by a professional facility. An accumulation or intermittent EGR fault or carbon buildup within the EGR ports, Intermittent fault in the spark plug(s). or numerous other possibilities that would require some hands on expertise to diagnose the problem.
