Chevrolet Repair: 94 cavalier problems, cv joint, chevy cavalier

Question
Hi. I have a 94 Chevy Cavalier automatic. The past month or so  she has been (1) making a noise mainly when turning left or going over a median or into/out of a steep drive. It is sort of like a scrunch/clump noise. (2) She is also leaking antifreeze. The headgasket was replaced a few years back and my husband is preparing to replace it again himself this weekend with the water pump. The front end noise, however, we are not sure about. Could it be the CV joint? Any other suggestions? It started out mainly on the left but now it makes the noise sometimes when turning right. We just had the front brakes/rotors replaced because we needed it and hoped it would make the noise go away, but no luck. We've also replaced the heater core and solenoid in the past year or so. The alternator and belt tensioner are pretty new. (3) One more thing is a squeeling/chirping noise that happens in front while driving or on idle, not all the time but fairly frequently, more so when she just starts up and moves, but like I say can also happen when on the road.
Any insight for us would be appreciated! Thanks a lot!
Anne

Answer
Without actually having access to drive the vehicle, I would suspect that you have a CV-Joint going bad.

The squealing could be the belt or a bearing in one of the belt driven components. When you hear the noise try spraying the belt with BELT DRESSING and see if the noise goes away.
