Chevrolet Repair: 95 Cavalier 2.2L, turn signal flasher, blower motor resister

Question
Car has 148K miles.  A few things I need help on.  Check engine light comes on sometimes- Code 27 Quad Driver Module.  I have been told this deals with the computer. What does it mean? Is this critical to fix? Also, need to replace the horn- but I can't find the location of it.  And in reference to the HVAC blower motor resister in the question posted previously- Is there any splicing of wires to connect the new one- how do you detach the wires from the current resister- Is there a clip that holds the wires to the resister?  Also, blinkers do not blink- but flashers will blink. I have heard this may be the turn signal flasher? Any ideas? Where is the component located?  Is it an easy fix?

Thanks a bunch,
Roberto

Answer
Hi Roberto, Not sure on the code 27 as I have never had this one to do and without a book I have no idea. The horn is in the right front of the car behind the bumper cover. You need to remove the screws that hold the cover on and pull it forward to gain access the horn. The resistor has a plug on it, just unplug the harness. The flasher is under the dash on the drivers side. Most times it is near the steering column. Sometimes you can bang on the lower dash and get it to work so you can locate it.

Hope this helps you out
