Chevrolet Repair: steering column, chevy suburban, low beam

i have an 84 6.2 litre deisel chevy suburban.  i am in process of changing the steering column and could use a diagram showing the parts to help me get it back together. I was sold an 83 steering column without the intermitent wipers and high/low beam switch on the column as mine is. Changing it out and trying to make the 83 column work is proving to be a chore but i need a picture and i think i could get thru it. Can you help me?

Hi Chris, Sorry but I haven't seen a manual for a truck in the 80's in years. They purged all our books to make room for the new books. If you know someone with ALLDATA which is a aftermarket program you could get it from them.
