Chevrolet Repair: 2001 Blazer electric system, turn signal switch, chevy blazer

First, the brake lights stopped working. Now, the blinkers don't work (they don't flash inside either.) Last night, when my husband turned off the ignition and took out the key, the car kept running for about a minute. What do you think this is and how much will it cost to fix? It's a 2001 Chevy Blazer with 34,000 miles on it.

Hi Marina, well it could be either the ignition switch or the turn signal switch. Try this, push the hazard switch in and out a few times and see if that makes the turn signals work. If it does then the switch is bad. The only problem I haven't heard of is the car running with the key off. Does it have a remote starter installed on it?
