Chevrolet Repair: lights pulsating, chevy 4x4, battery cables

hi i have 86 chevy 4x4 my lights are pulsating battery starts truck fine its not dead but low on water filled it and started truck and same problem noticed battery bubbling water out of top replaced battery. lights still pulsating cleaned ground to body. truck starts fine belts are good tight. do you think alt.is going bad please help...thanks.........

You have one or more of the following problems:

1. faulty alternator.

2. Faulty battery.

3. a GROUND wire loose somewhere within the engine compartment or from the engine to the body.

4. Internally corroded battery cables and or connectors at the ends of the cables.


Pull the alternator OFF and take it into any major auto parts store and they will test it for FREE.

You can also have the battery tested for FREE also and I HIGHLY recommend that you do so.
