Chevrolet Repair: 1995 Chevrolet Camaro V6, AC air distribution, vacuum tank, camaro v6

Question
When running the ac, the air distribution is in the "default" position only - under dash and defroster.  Nothing through the dash outlets.  Also, there is no change when selecting the MAX position.  The manual says there is a vacuum tank under the car beneath the engine on front passenger side.  I can't find it there or under the hood anywhere (if it exists).  I assume that it is a vacuum line but I don't find any under the hood.  Suggestions?  Thanks!

Answer
Hi Wayne, This is most likely a vacuum leak. I would look at the diagram under the hood, it should be on the hood or the radiator fan shrould to locate the vacuum line that goes to the HVAC system. When you find the line you can trace it to locate the leak in the system.
