Chevrolet Repair: Exhaust problem, combustion chambers, coolant system

Question
I have a 1995 Beretta and recently I have begun to put out a large amount of thick white smoke for the first 7-10 minutes that the car is running.  I also sometimes smell antifreeze. I was told by the used car dealership that the oil had been changed when I bought it about 2,500 miles ago.Could this be the cause of this and how much would you estimate repairs to be?  The car also is a bit sluggish to start now that the cold weather has begun.

Answer
If your pumping WHITE smoke and have the smell of anti-freeze This would most likely be a head gasket(s) problem and if you conyinue to operate the vehicle IF you have anti-freeze getting into the combustion chambers you WILL destroy the engine bearings as anti-freeze lozes to eat the bearing material of the crankshaft, and Rod bearings like a kid eats ice cream.

I STRONGLY suggest you get a coolant system pressure test performed on this vehicle NOW. NOT tomorrow or next week, NOW. The longer you wait the more damage will occur.
