Chevrolet Repair: rear main seal, special tools, silverado

Question
I have a 96 silverado with a 350 . I think it needs a rear main seal. Could I fix it myself ?

Answer
NOT unless you have the special tools in order to properly align and seat the seal(s). I would hate to see you go thru all that work and trying to install and seat the seal without the special tools only to have it leak upon start up or within a few days later.
