Chevrolet Repair: Brake fault light, lever switch, aldl

Van, On a '92 c-1500 my brake  fault light comes on for an indescriminate time then goes off. Is there a way to "jump" the ALDL in the "h" terminal to see the code for the RWAL module to find the system "culprit? Would you recommend taking it to a dealer instead

Actually, Ken, the first thing I would check is make sure the parking brake lever switch isn't doing it.
A scan tool connected with the brake software would be nice, but it doesn't need to be a dealer.
And check the fluid level. I don't think that one has a low fluid indicator, but it might.
