Chevrolet Repair: 92 Chevy PUp Brake Warning Light flickers, brake warning light, compressor clutch

Question
The brake light flickers on/off continually, parked or moving. When you push the emergency brake pedal down (on), the light holds on lit and steady? When you release the emerg. brake pedal, it starts blinking/flickering. Can you tell me what to check and/or replace.
Also I tried to add 134a Freon to the a/c, which was converted to 134a previously, the compressor wouldn't come on with the clutch engaged. I tried to jump the low press. suction switch and it still wouldn't turn on, with the dash switch on A/C,with or w/o max recirc.  But later on the road the compressor engaged briefly?  Could this be a bad clutch or something else preventing it from engaging properly?
Please email me ASAP
Thanks,
Kenny

Answer
Hi Kenny, The brake light flashing is just a problem with the rear wheel anti lock system. The most common things to go bad are the dump vale and the brake switch. You need to count the flashes to get the code. As for the A/C check for power at the cycling switch, if you have power then jump it and test for power at the compressor clutch. You could have a bad clutch coil. Do this for the heck of it,  disconnect your battery for a minute and then start the engine. Does the brake light stay off, A/C work?
