Chevrolet Repair: help please, vehicle just stopped running, crankshaft sensor, fuel pump relay

Question
I was driving 92 geo tracker 4x4 when it just lost power.   Like somebody turned off the gas over a 3 second period.  The engine turns over fine, but no pop/spark!  Everything else in the car work like before, except it wont start.  I used an timing light and the sparks plugs get juice.   The fuel pump(replace and it wasn't the problem), timing belt, ignition coil, ignitor, fuel level, fuses, relays, battery have all been checked.  The rotar cap had white build up, which I scraped off.  The car ran perfect prior to this  with a smooth ideal and power.  It has 170,000 miles on it.  Should I replace the rotar and cap...or maybe the whole distriber unit.  It is fuel injected 4 cyc.  Thanks Eric

Answer
Hi Eric,
Check for an Inj fuse.
You are sure the fuel pump is running? You said it wasn't the problem. Does that mean you checked it outside the car? or just that a new one didn't fix the problem.
There is a fuel pump relay. Make sure it is actually running the pump, either by listening for the pump to run, or checking the pressure.
A crankshaft sensor may be the problem, or the ECM.
But I wouldn't replace any distributor parts if there is good spark....and if it is happening at the correct time. Check the timing. The timing belt may be there, but if it has jumped time, it won't run.
