Chevrolet Repair: 88 chevy hard start, engine cranks, fuel pump relay

Question
Van,
Thanks for your suggestion. I replaced the fuel pump relay and it still is hard to start. Do you have any other suggestions? Thanks. Mark

Answer
Hi Mark,
I don't have your previous question, so don't exactly remember it all.
But a pressure test would be a good idea, to check the pump and filter.
Also, make sure the new relay operates when the engine cranks over, so it doesn't have to wait for the oil pressure to build up and operate the pump.
You could actually bypass the relay and make the pump run to see if that makes it start easily.
