Chevrolet Repair: Wont Start, chevy silverado, coil wire

Question
I have a 1997 Chevy Silverado K1500.  When I leave my vehicle outside, overnight, and there is a significant amount of dew on the ground in the morning, my truck will not start.  It will turn over, there is spark, there is gas, just no ignition and when you shut the key off, it acts like it wants to start. I have had it put on a computer diagnostic, but nothing was found.  We pulled the distributor cap, there is no residue or moisture.  If you let it sit until the dew is gone, it starts with no problem.  Any thoughts on the problem?

Answer
Hi David, I think your problem is the ignition coil and coil wire. I would replace both of these to correct your wet starting problem. You can also try this to make sure it is the problem. With the engine running wet down the ignition with water, The engine should quit or run rough.

Let me know how you make out
