Chevrolet Repair: Heat Sensor, upper radiator hose, blown fuses

Question
I have a 1992 Chev Corsica LT, and am looking for the heat sensor location. The car keeps on overheating, the fan works when it's taken out of the car, but won't turn on when the car is running. I think that it may be the sensor that's gone on it, but don't know where to locate it to replace it. Can you help me out please.

Thank you, Michaela

Answer
Hello Michaela, the sensor on a V6 is located in the intake manifold on the drivers side. Look where the upper radiator hose connects to the thermostat housing now look down from the thermostat housing and you'll see a sensor that isn't to easy to get to. The ECM turns the fan so I would also check for blown fuses for the fan motor.
