Chevrolet Repair: fuel flow, chevrolet celebrity, new sensor

im working on a 85 chevrolet celebrity 2.5 4 cyl. on startup im not getting fuel to spray from bowl on top of throttle body; i can pour gas in throttle body and car will start; and spray gas.ive replaced the fuel pump and it will not spray fuel on startup still.car will run with a prime from gas can but if i let off gas peddle it will stall and not restart; unless u prime it with a dash of gas.ive been told the computer is bad and not ; sending start up info . if this isnt the problem plez descibe the part or parts for me that it could be. ty for this time metal6791 @aol.com

Hi Ryan, The first thing to do is disconnect the temp sensor for the computer (not the one for the dash). This will tell the computer that the engine temp is -30 deg. Now the computer will send a lot of gas to the engine. I want you to do this because if the temp sensor is bad and telling the computer that the engine is very hot, only a tiny bit of fuel will come out and this will not be enough to start the engine. If it starts with it disconnected then get a new sensor.
