is it bad for me to flip the cover over on the air filter so it sounds better thanks scott

Well....It's not "bad" nor good either. It defeats the A/C design, as the a/c is designed to draw cooler air from the snorkel which improves H.P.!! And, the top inverted changes the air entrance into the air horn which can be restricting. If anything, purchase a K&N filter unit, and plug off the thermal flap(hot air) which is used during warm up, until the inside of A/C is approx. 70+ degrees. Unplug the thermal system during winter months if you live in a cold area climate. Good Luck!
