Chevrolet Repair: i got a 63 chevrolet pick up, batt cable, woundering

my truck will not turn over at all. I changed the starter and the voltage regulator and it still wont start. My friend said it could be the celinoid but my cousin told me i dont have one of those. Im woundering what else it could be. My truck is a 63' chevrolet pick up 350.

Well, Yes it has a solenoid, it's on top of the starter, which the batt. cable is hooked up to!! The voltage regulator had absolutly NOTHING to do with starting!!! A quick check, with a fully charged batt., jump between the main batt. lug on solenoid, and to the "S" terminal of solenoid(towards the block) See what happens, and let me know!
