Questionhow much would a new engine for my 1992 chevrolet 350 motor 4 barrell truck cost. it has almost 200,000 miles on it and is just about shot..i need a whole new engine or motor..what is the difference? how long would it take to get it?
i am asking for my husband..he has gone to bed..as he has to get up at 5:00 a.m.
i tried to pull it up on your website but did not manage to find it..i got to 1/2 ton truck, 4x2 and after that it just started giving me parts..not the whole new engine...

I don't have a web site. I am just a mechanic that answers questions when I can. I don't work for any parts house, or repair company.
If you go to a major parts housu, such as "O"Reillys, they will givy you a price. A Target 350 is one that I have heard of, although I rarely deal with replacing an engine.
A Chevy dealership will also give you a price for a crate motor.
Either of those places can usually get one overnight, or in just a day or two.
