Chevrolet Repair: Chevy C50 Med. Dutie 1970 Water Truck, chevy c50, local junk yards

Question
I have a part that I need to Replace.  I live in a small town And the auto parts store Says it may be Called a Slave? It is for the power stearing I have gone to the local Junk yards and they Didnt even try to figure out what the part is or wether they Had it or not. Jerks!
I Just need the part that we think is called the Ram.   Do you Have any wair I could Look?
Again It is a 1970 Chevy C50
The part Looks Similar to a shock that runs Parallel to the frame. From one tier to the other. It has a hose frome the pwer steering pump, and the end pice is the only thing I need it Looks like a Hitch and Ball I need the Hitch part.

Answer
Hello Karen,
That is a slave cylinder for power assist steering.
It would be called the "socket" on the end of the cylinder rod, and connects to a ball on the tierod.
A truck salvage yard would be the place to look.
I am in Oklahoma, and there are two places close that I would try.
Benke auto and truck salvage, or Pamplin truck salvage.
Benke doesn't seem to be listed, but Pamplin is 580-353-4641, or 580-353-2099.
Good luck,
Van
