Chevrolet Repair: Chevrolet Silverado xtra cab, chevrolet silverado, good day mate

Hi Brian,
I am from Australia and have recently purchased a 1995 Chevrolet Silverado C1500, petrol engine (350 vortex) and do not have a workshop manual for it.  The ABS light is showing on the dash and we don't think it should be.  Also a little engine icon light is showing.  Is there anything you can tell me about this?  Also I would like to know where to obtain a manual for it so we can have our mechanic fix anything that may go wrong in the future.

ok the abs light is and should be on showing that the brakes are working and "armed" for a lack of better wording. as for the engine light you should  get that checked out , as it tells the mechanic about engine codes, these codes specifically tell what is wrong with the car.
as for manuals i go to my auto parts store and they usally have one for around $15. make sure you get the right one for your year model make  and all that. as for an owners manual, your best bet would be a dealership for chevys and call or go in and see about getting a repalcement one.
