I have a 2000 Chevy Venture van. Recently, the left turn signal has begun to blink much faster than the normal rate. The right turn signal continues to blink at the normal speed. What might be my problem?

Hi Gary, The first thing to do is check all your bulbs on the side it blinks fast on. I'll bet you find one that is not working. This is always the case with this problem.

Let me know what you find          Mark

You were right but my problem seems to be more involved. I found a burned out bulb in the left front. This bulb doubles as a turn signal and a running light. I put in a new bulb and I had a functioning running light but still no turn signal. I fiddled with the bulb a little bit and finally got the turn signal to work but then the running light wasn't working. Out of frustration, I put everything back together and again I had running light but no turn signal. Later that day I am driving the van and to my surprise, I have both a functional running light and a functional turn signal. Unfortunately it didn't last and now I have a burned out bulb and neither a running light or a turn signal. What now?

Answer
Hi Gary, Well I haven't seen any wiring problems with this part of these vans. I'm thinking maybe the terminal contact inside the socket is weak and not making a good connection to the bulb. Check this part of t he socket and also make sure that there is a good ground to that bolb. That bulb also comes when you turn the headlights on, does this part work OK.
