Chevrolet Repair: Oil leak on 2003 Malibu, bumper to bumper warranty, crank case

Question
Mark, I could really use your advice/expertise on a problem oil leak in my 2003 Malibu LS. It has 20,077 miles and still under the 36,000 warranty.
I have had to add about a quart of oil in the last month.I should have taken it in by now but lack the time. Before I take it in, would you please answer a few questions.
Have you heard of this before ? What could cause it ? Could they have over filled the crank case where my oil changes are done ? Most important is, do you think GM will cover it under the 36,000 bumper to bumper warranty.Or will I have a fight on my hands. Other than the bad oil leak, the Malibu has been a fine car.
Thanks for being a volunteer and for answering my question.
Ron M.

Answer
Hi Ron, First GM will repair the problem without any questions. I would get it in soon as it sounds like your going through quite a bit of oil. Don't want to run out of oil and cause any damage to the engine.
I haven't seen many leaks this bad on the Malibu. The most common leak is coolant from the intake manifold on V6 engines.

Let me know how you make out        Mark
