Chevrolet Repair: 2000 s-10 xtreme, fuel pressure, plug wires

Question
I thank you for looking at my question's

2000 chevy s-10 xtreme - It won't start my starter will try to turn it over but it just won't at all. I've never had a problem like this before. There's nothing more I can say everything sounds fine but it just won't start I've tried to the point where my battery was almost dead (my interior lights dimmed and the starter wasn't as strong sounding). Any advice would be much appreciated.

Answer
Hello Dennis,
I assume warranty is expired??
You need to see if it has spark, and fuel.
If spark is present at the plug wires, then I would suspect the fuel pump, or injection system.
If you can find spark, you could see if spraying a tiny bit of starting fluid into the intake causes it to "hit".
If you would rather not experiment with the starting fluid, then listen for the fuel pump in the tank to buzz for a few seconds after someone turns the key to run.
There is a place on the engine to connect a fuel pressure tester, available from a parts store, and see if the pump is supplying the proper pressure. The injectors need the pressure, in order to work.
There is also a fuse for the pump and injectors that needs to be good
Good luck,
Van
