Chrysler Repair: 2009 PTcabin air distribution wont change

Hi Roland I have a 2009PTcruiser and the fan switch will not change the location of its direction.It only blows out of the defroster.

I have the '06 manual and that shows there is a mechanical cable that controls the air distribution "mode" door. Does it feel like that cable has become disconnected when you move the control?
