Chrysler Repair: 01 caravan 3,3: code 0106

Question
QUESTION: motor was misfiring and got so bad customer parked it. he towed it to me and i found #2 cyl full of gas , replaced injector stuck wide open changed oil and found bad injector harness . replaced harness , but code p0106 keeps returning hard starting without opening throttle , smooths out at 3500 rpms sometimes idles but very rough.

ANSWER: Hi Robert,
That 0106 code says the manifold absolute pressure sensor is far off-value as regards its voltage reading. Check its condition and the condition of its harness wires for possible damage. Otherwise replace the sensor. It appears to be located on the intake manifold near the power steering pump. The other possibility is that the egr valve is gummed up and thus is not closing tightly via its internal spring action. You could spray some WD-40 on the valve stem and then move the stem back and forth with the tip of a screwdriver inserted in the slot of the stem.
Either of those two could would cause a poor mixture so starting would be difficult or rough.

QUESTION: egr closed no vac problem there.  I have 5.02 volts on right wire and 4.96 volts at purple wire key on eng off at connecter for map unplugged.    Shouldnt i have 5 only on 1 wire , if u want call mee

Answer
The orange/pink wire should show 5V, while the violet/brown wire is the "signal" wire that comes back from the sensor and it should show 4.6V if you are at sea level. You would need to probe that wire with a pin while it is connected to the sensor to see what it reads. It drops lower as the pressure drops depending upon altitude and the weather and of course when you start the engine it will drop also. So see what the wire is reading when it is plugged in to the sensor as I don't know what the voltage on it should be with it disconnected.
