Chrysler Repair: 94 LeBaron: rear quarter trim panel removal

Question
How do I remove the Rear driver side interior panel ?

Answer
Hi Jody,
I assume that you are trying to access the quarter window motor, correct? The interior panel is called the quarter trim panel.
Here is a brief description that I copied from the Yahoo group's Chrysler LeBaron Club:
"I have a 92, and just removed the left rear panel yesterday. The rear seat bottom has to be removed first. You simply pry up on the bottom of the seat on both sides and it comes loose. The seat belts must be pushed through the hole they come up through. The seat back is held in place by two 10 mm bolts. Once the bolts are removed, pull out on the bottom of the rear, and it comes free. You can then see two phillips head screws that are hidden behind the seat back, and one screw that is hidden by the seat cushion. There is one screw at the top of the door opening, and one screw under the clip for the boot. With these screws removed, the panel should come right out (as long as they didn't change the setup between 92 and 95). I also had to disconnect the speaker wire once I had the panel loose. The three bolts holding the window mechanism are then in plain site."

In the '94 manual the steps are described as follows:
Disengage snaps holding sling well to rear deck panel (sling well it the soft panel behind the rear seat)
From each side of vehicle, disengage  clips holding sling well to belt reinforcement brace
Drape sling well over rear seat back into passenger compartment
Remove screw holding quarter trim panel and door weather strip to door opening
Remove the cowl trim and scuff plate covers (this is the metal strip that is directly at the bottom of  the door opening  i.e. the door sill.
Remove rear seat cushion
Remove rear speaker wire connectors
Remove screws holding seat back to floor brackets and rear should belt retractors
Separate rear seat back from vehicle
Remove screws holding quarter trim to quarter panel at boot latches
Remove screws holding quarter trim to floor pan kick up
Separate quarter trim from rear reinforcement

I can photocopy the page which shows the details and postal mail it to you.

Please read the PS (below) and respond to it.
Thanks,
Roland
