Chrysler Repair: 2004 sebring sedan - washer fluid not spraying, metal chassis, fuse box

Question
QUESTION: Roland,

Just noticed today that my washer fluid is not spraying out.  I can't hear the pump when I 'ask' for it.  There is some fluid in the reservoir..

I'm trying to figure out which fuse to check.  Is it on the same fuse/relay as my wipers?  If so, I imagine the pump is dead.

ANSWER: Hi Jason,
It does appear that fuse 15 in the box at the left end of the dash is the power source for the pump. It has 2-wires: the brown should show 12v when washer pump is requested, and a black wire whidh should be continuous to ground at all times. So check out the circuit and let me know if it isn't clear why no wash water is coming out.

QUESTION: Just to be clear Roland, is this the interior fuse box?  Or the one under the hood?

Also, do the wipers run from a different fuse?  Because they are fine..

Answer
Hi Jason,
No the wipers and the washer pump are on the same fuse. The multi-function switch has various  positions but all are driven off of the same fuse. So use a 12V glow light or volt meter to verify that you get 12v between the pins of the pump connector plug when you request washer action. Or you can jump 12v to the pump's pin 2 and ground pin 1 with a jumper to any shiney metal chassis surface, and thus check both the wiring to the pump and the pump itself. That way you will know if it is the pump or the multi-function switch which is the problem.
