Chrysler Repair: Power door locks cycle for no apparent reason., power door locks, 2004 chrysler sebring

Question
Hi.
My 2004 chrysler sebring just started flicking lights because the power door locks are flicking for no apparent reason and the car is shut off. can you tell me what the problem is.
Thanks

Answer
Hi Delenda,
Probably either the driver door or the passenger door is not closed tightly against the body. There is a door latch 'striker' mounted in the door frame which can be moved 'in' slightly by loosening a couple of screws that hold it in place so that then the door latch will be more firmly latching. You can tell which door it is by pushing outward on the doors when you have shut off the engine and set the power door locks to the latched position. One or the other of the doors will, when pushed outward, cause the power door locks to cycle.
Please 'rate' my answer (see below).
Thanks,
Roland
PS Sorry for the delay but I just found your question in the 'pool' to which Kevin had refetted it.
