Chrysler Repair: Cam tentioner for 2.7 dodge, oil pressure, water pump

Question
QUESTION: I have replaced the cam tensioner on my 2.7 and after I reset it as per instructions I rotate the motor to check that all timing marks align correctly after 2 revolutions as prescribed marks in doing so I see the chain jump the water pump and then the timing marks get out of sync. What am I doing wrong that causes this

ANSWER: the tensioner is hydraulic   U have no oil pressure to keep the chain tight.
Don't rotate it  if the marks are good  then u dont need to rotate it   plus  U would need to turn the engine over 72 times to get the marks to align back up

QUESTION: If that is the case what is the correct procedure to prime the tensioner with oil?

Answer
U have not read your service manual for this this job have u?  If u had it would have told u that its spring loaded and to pop it to keep tension on the chain until the engine is started and then the pressure will build up the rest of the way.  U will hear the chain rattle for a few seconds then it will quite down.
