Chrysler Repair: chrysler grand voyager, chrysler grand voyager, engine coolant

Question
Hi roland as you suggested I've done the re calibration on the ac unit it worked perfectly all the lights stopped flashing but still no hot air!! The difference now being when I switch the unit off for 10 minutes or so then turn it back on I feel warm air coming through only for it to go cold again after 10 seconds or so. The unit is the digital type with controls for both driver and passenger. Hopefully this information well help many thanks doug

Answer
Hi Doug,
The next step is to check that the flow of hot engine coolant is unobstructed. In the engine compartment locate the 2 hoses that go through the firewall to the HVAC unit. After driving the vehicle far enough to warm it up touch each hose and determine if they feel equally hot which would verify that you do have good flow. If one is noticeably colder then there is insufficient flow. If that test passes then you will need to remove an underdash panel on the driver side to access the blend door motor, remove it, and check whether the blend door is binding or the motor not functioning. I can give you the details about that after you check the hoses.
