Chrysler Repair: we dont have p-code number come out to odometer., obd ii code reader, 4 digit numbers

hi,
  yes  i follow your instruction,  on off on off and on, and wait 10 seconds.buth the p-code not yet  to come out.maybe may car we dont have  this kind of instruments.sir roland if i send to  chrysler shop.do you think i ll spent to mush for my car,to open  the transmission.do you have idea how much i can spent.to check the transmission, ,,the problem is ( the idleng is not normal .its too high,buth when you push or pressed the pedal clucth the idleng is normal smoother and not noisy, i mean normal,and when you realese the pedal cluth its so noisy the idleng is hegher.

Hi Mhel,
If you take the car to a shop that you trust and which has a fault code reader which plugs into the socket under the dash that shop should be able tell you any faults that the engine controller and the transmission controller has noticed. These are 4-digit numbers preceded by a P. Ask them what the number are, what they mean, how much it will cost to fix. Then write me back and I can compare what they tell you to what the shop manual says about those fault codes. It doesn't have to be a Chrysler dealer, but any shop that has what is called an OBD-II code reader for American cars of any make. It is probably an problem with the engine, not the transmission.
