Chrysler Repair: headlight doors: 90 LeBaron J-body coupe/convert., time delay relay, headlight doors

Question
Hi there       1990 Lebaron Conv.
I am trying to get a wiring diagram for relays to open and close the head light doors and location of the time delay relay.Chrysler will not tell me anything at all. Thanks  Don

Answer
Hi Don,
The relays for that are contained within, in the '90 LeBaron, a 'control module' on the left side of steering column. The wires on pins 1 (open) and 6 (close) go to the single motor and would show + or - voltage  relative to one another, depending upon whether the command is to open or close. The body computer alerts the module when the system needs to be activated based upon the headlamp switch input to it. Those signals arrive at the module on pins 7 and 9. Power to the module is from the circuit breaker in cavity 3 of fuse box under the dash on pin 10. Pin 5 is a ground wire. The time delay is likely in the body computer, but tell me which delay you are speaking of just in case.
